For her Master's thesis, "Handtaschenwaffen" (What's in my bag), Jo Anneke Mückel curated an exhibition that brought together her own work and the artistic practices of FLINTA* artists. Taking place in a club, the exhibition confronts visitors with the omnipresence of self-defence in public spaces. For this project, we designed a series of three posters that translate the experience of being catcalled into a visual language. The typography is intrusive and difficult to ignore, reflecting the discomfort and loss of control often experienced in such encounters.
